Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Rider or Walkie is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is essentially a motorized type of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Walkie" models and "Rider" versions.
Like what the name implies, the walkie model is designed for the operator to walk along with the unit as they move cargo. The Rider model on the other hand, utilizes a small platform for which the operator stands on. The rider models are great for frequent moving of loads over extended distances in warehouses and manufacturing operations. They are highly maneuverable and fast.
It is essential to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and therefore, it is not recommended to transport unstable or tall loads utilizing these machines. A rider can be the perfect answer if you are searching for an inexpensive method for transporting loads from point A to point B. If though, you should transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model could be the right choice.
Order Selector
An Order Selector also goes by the name of Order picker. This equipment is particularly made for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This platform elevates both the load and the operator in an effort to facilitate manual unloading and loading from racking areas.
Typically, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which can function in smaller aisles. They are very handy pieces of machinery in cycle counting situations as well as in physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
