Change an LPG Cylinder
Forklifts are powered by various sources. They can run utilizing gasoline, LP gas or liquid propane, diesel or battery. LP is a clean burning fuel ideal for numerous applications. There are several facilities which have large liquid propane supplies on site. This allows forklifts to be refueled whenever they require. In other places, the facility will have spare LP cylinders which can be changed out when the equipment should be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you must truly be careful so as to avoid possible serious injuries. For instance: be certain to put on the appropriate safety equipment such as heavy gloves, safety glasses or goggles. Make sure that you turned off the ignition of the forklift prior to changing out the tank. Next, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is closed firmly. Use your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Don't forget that it will turn in the opposite direction of a standard connection and never utilize a metal tool or any kind of wrench on these connections. They are meant to be tightened just by utilizing the hand.
