Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck offering great height and versatility. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the load to great heights. Regular lift trucks could not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in both construction and agriculture. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is required.
A forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended in cases needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift will normally utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform meant specially to raise workers. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
