Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy

Terex offers Genie DC and Bi-Energy machinery which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial situations where the equipment has to travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and flexibility of a diesel powered generator with a 48 Volt DC machinery.



Several of the important characteristics offered by this combination comprise over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Also, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.



Drive controls and proportional lift controls also provide precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. The 48V DC electric drive system offers emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for specific tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.



Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine

The Terex Genie is great for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine extreme lifting versatility and over, up and out positioning capabilities. The outreach offered by this type is the best in the market.



The diesel engines with articulating booms offer zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These equipment are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Furthermore, they provide supreme power, excellent torque and terrain and grade maneuverability. The diesel engines are generally quiet as well. Most models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on surfaces which are rough and uneven.



High ground clearance is offered in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom kinds are available and provide added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
