End Control Forklifts
The stand-up end control forklift is an extremely flexible equipment and is popular in the material handling industry. These machinery have superior performance characteristics which are somewhat comparable to sit-down electric lift truck units.
Ideally, these forklift truck units are suited for warehousing operation environments that have limited space. Their working aisle requirements are often less than those required of a three-wheel electric forklift truck. These equipment are an ideal alternative for applications which require frequent on and off access, since their stand-up design is an excellent characteristic.
The reach truck is a loading equipment used by various companies that maintain a storage facility involving the arrangement of finished products on pallets and supplies that are stacked or stored into tall shelving compartments. The reach truck provides safe and easy retrieval of the loaded pallets. It is also a great option for those who prefer to store pallets of goods they do not need yet in a way which is both safe and efficient.
All basic reach truck models will have an out-rigging mechanism secured to the front of the equipment. Telescoping forks are mounted to the out-rigging and could move down and up. The forks also include a hydraulic system which enables the driver to lift the load and move it over the out-riggers. This particular design not just gives more balance to the whole load, but makes it very easy for the reach truck to maneuver into narrow aisles between the storage shelves.
Once the selected shelf has been identified, the hydraulic forks swing into action and lower the pallet into the shelving unit, helping to slide the load into place. Usually, a reach truck would easily fit into an aisle which is less than 10 feet across with no trouble, so long as there are no other pallets protruding out from the shelving area.
